Cefneithin RFC are looking to recruit a Forwards Coach, Player/Coach to join the coaching group for the 2026/27 Season, working with our relatively young and enthusiastic squad.
The role is to lead in creating a strong environment for the forwards unit, whilst developing players to fulfill their potential across the whole senior playing squad. Skill & Experience Clear understanding and knowledge of forward play, especially around the set piece. Coaching experience within a rugby environment and working as part of a group. Ability to plan and deliver engaging coaching sessions. Building strong working relationship with fellow coaches and management. Key Responsibilities Install and drive a strong forwards culture and style aligned to the club’s playing philosophy. Communicate clearly with staff, players, and members of the wider club. Identify strengths and weaknesses of individual and team performances and address. Assist in recruitment of players to the whole senior playing squad. Support the learning of all club coaches and assist in developing forwards coaching across the wider club. Requirements WRU Level 2 Coaching Certificate or commitment to attaining Level 2 (funded by the Club) Knowledge of current coaching / training processes and game play. WRU League experience (playing or coaching) desired but not essential.
